Slingplayer Mobile for iPhone gets high quality video streaming and new program guide

Slingplayer Mobile for iPhone and iPod touch has reached version 2.0 today, and with it come a couple of features that had previously been seen only in the iPad app: high(er) quality video is in, as is a revamped program guide.

Streaming requires an internet connection with a speed of at least 800 kbps over Wi-Fi or 500 kbps over 3G. To actually be able to watch anything in HQ, you have to have a Slingbox SOLO or PRO-HD. Streaming from older Slingboxes will still work, just with lower-quality video.

Slingplayer Mobile 2.0 for iPhone and iPod touch is now available in the iTunes App Store as a free update if you already have it installed, or for $29.99 if you're downloading it for the first time.
