aDeskbar is an all-in-one dock and menu panel for Linux
aDeskbar is a slick menu and dock app for Linux systems which offers a wide range of customization options. In addition to the familiar menu-based app launcher, aDeskbar also includes nice features like drawers (similar to OS X stacks) and widgets for quick actions like invoking a terminal, logging off, or shutting down your system. Visual options abound, too -- opacity, position, hover effects, background color, and hiding options are all customizable.
As Webupd8 points out, aDeskbar is designed for use with the OpenBox window manager, but it works just fine with Gnome and XFCE as well. It's an extremely flexible and powerful launcher and well worth taking for a spin on your favorite distro.

A note to the author:
XFCE and Gnome desktop environments (the thing that provides the file manager and widget toolkits and whatnot).
Openbox is a window manager, which draws the windows and decorates them. The other most popular window managers are compiz (the one with all the glitz, e.g. wobbly windows+desktop cube+god knows what else) A window manager is also typically bundled with the desktop environment, for example metacity for gnome and kwin for kde.
To further confuse you, a window manager can be used without a desktop environment, which is useful if you have a very old computer.
--proud user of the X window system with Xorg and Openbox on top of that LXDE for a DE.
