512MB free storage for your Dropbox, just for tweeting
Well, not just for tweeting... But Dropbox will boost your free account by a full 512MB if you're feeling social. Head on over to www.dropbox.com/free, sign in to your account, and you'll be given four tasks to complete. Each one is worth an additional 128MB and they're all pretty painless:
- Connect Dropbox to your Facebook account
- Connect Dropbox to your Twitter account
- Follow Dropbox on Twitter
- Provide a little feedback to the Dropbox team

Awesome. Been running out of space recently, but can't stomach the upgrade to 50 or 100GB. They really need something in between.

What does "connecting to Facebook" entail? Does it technically mean that the Facebook API can have a look into my Dropbox files?

@(Unverified) No, linking with facebook gives dropbox access to your facebook account. It does not give facebook access to your dropbox.

For some reason, I got an error when trying to sign in with Twitter. Weird.

@computerwiz908 I did too, three times but refreshing it worked and it saved the steps I had already done.

There's also 2 more options for 256 more megabytes of space.
1 - Post a message on your FB about DB
2 - Post on Twitter about DB

It feels like Christmas! Thank you so very much! :)

Pretty cool, but I still only use 6%, need to start taking advantage of it more often.

An increase of 50% would be 1GB... cause a free account starts at 2GB...
You can actually get 768MB with this, 128MB each for the 4 things listed and posting to fb and twitter like 216 said.

@(Unverified) Right you are...updating post, etc. I read somewhere (incorrectly) that they were offering an additional 1GB but forgot to tweak that line.

- Connect to Twitter
- Connect to Facebook
- Follow on Twitter
- Write about why you like Dropbox
- Post your "why you like Dropbox" on your Facebook
- Post your "why you like Dropbox" on your Twitter
