Chrome 9 goes Dev, brings laundry list of changes

A number of the updates lay the groundwork for features that will be "coming soon." There's been a lot of work focused around Cloud Print, for example. Google Instant integration has also been tweaked, and a number of small UI issues have been touched up. The extension system received a lot of attention, with tweaks being made to both the filesystem and sidebar APIs.
Among the more significant additions are things like the internal DNS resolver (which arrived in Chromium recently) and password sync. Google's V8 JavaScript engine has been bumped to v2.5, and don't forget about Chrome's hardware acceleration features -- they haven't been turned on by default just yet, but work continues. They are on the roadmap for the final release of Chrome 9.

How do you change the server for the internal DNS resolver?

I heard Google Chrome 24 is already in pre-planning stages.
Seriously, in just over 2 years (26-ish months), they've gone from dev stages for Chrome 1 to dev stages for Chrome 9. That's ridiculous.

Since the update, my addons with drop downs(like Gmail Checker, Google Reader Notifier, etc) often don't scale up to full size when I click on them. They'll just show a tiny strip of content, and I have to click it 4-5 times for it to show up normally.
I AM excited about the side-bar options for addons. I'm hoping a Flock-like Twitter client comes out.

I have the same problem with the drop-down for the addons but it hasn't been as bad as yours.
I am loving the persistent windows feature, which seems to work with the new Chrome Toolbox extension (http://goo.gl/tEVr2), so when you 'pop-out' a video, it appears in a persistent window on top of all the others.
