Angry Birds Halloween edition is available for iOS

Angry Birds, the mobile gaming phenomenon of our times, now has a special Halloween-themed edition waiting for you in the iTunes App Store. It's available for iPhone or iPod touch for $0.99 or for the iPad for $1.99. The Halloween edition has 45 additional levels, and for the first time ever lets you bash something other than pigs: pumpkins, of course.

The basic idea of the game is the same, as is the gameplay, but the atmosphere has been tuned for Halloween. So aside from the pumpkins, there are new, fitting animations and backdrops.

This version of Angry Birds will probably disappear from iTunes once Halloween has passed, so go grab it while you still can.
