Google now displays your location in the sidebar, lets you easily change it
Google has added a new item to the sidebar, which shows to the left of your search results: your location information. You will now be able to see where Google thinks you are -- and easily change your location if Google somehow got it wrong.
Google has been using your location to customize local search results for quite a while now, but you haven't previously been able to find out where Google thought you were or do anything about it if it was wrong. That all changes today, and manually overriding Google's automatically-found location takes just two clicks.
The new feature is in the process of being rolled out and will become available in more than 40 languages soon.
