BuzzVoice lets you listen to your favorite blogs on your computer, iPhone or Android device
BuzzVoice is a cool service/app that reads news stories and blog posts to you. It works on any computer, iPhone, or Android smartphone. BuzzVoice has a database of over 1,600 sources, which includes the biggest news sites and the most well-known blogs. As they like to say, it's like "Pandora for news." The easiest way to think about BuzzVoice is something along the lines of instant podcasts from your favorite blogs. Sure, the "voices" do sound a tad robotic, but they're very clear compared to other text-to-speech efforts and are actually more natural than most. BuzzVoice has gotten an update that makes it more appealing than ever. First off, there's a free version now available for anyone to use. For those who want to be able to add their own custom RSS feeds into the mix and take advantage of other power features, there's a Pro version that costs US$4.99/month.
The iPhone app now supports multitasking, letting you listen to your news in the background. Also new for the iPhone is the ability to control BuzzVoice from the Earphone button, just as you would normally do with a music app.
A quick demo video showcasing the newest features is waiting for you after the jump.
