Adobe patches 23 vulnerabilities in Reader and Acrobat
After moving quickly to plug a critical vulnerability last month, Adobe has followed up by patching another 23 holes in both Reader and Acrobat. These vulnerabilities affect all versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat for Windows and Mac, so you need to update your software immediately. Users of Acrobat and Reader 9 will have to update to version 9.4, while users of Acrobat 8 should update to version 8.2.5.
Both Reader and Acrobat have built-in updating mechanisms -- but if you have that disabled, or if you're a network administrator, the latest versions can be found on the Adobe security bulletin.

Or install Foxit Phantom or Reader and skip the Adobe bloatware and nonsense.

23? Dammit Adobe, you have some seriously shonky code in that product when you're issuing more bug fixes than Microsoft does for Windows 7. One is an app to view PDF's - the other is an entire operating system.
In related news, go into the preferences and turn off Javascript support. This solves the vast majority of the security issues.

Avoid the Adobe Download Manager by going through the enterprise page:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
No Adobe DLM. No Adobe AIR. Does not attempt to bundle McAfee.
26MB vs. 38MB
Alternatively, here's the direct download link for the Windows version:
