Angry Birds lays 'Big Fat Update' - brings Game Center, Retina Display and new levels

Rovio, the Finnish based game studio responsible for one of the most addictive and time destroying iPhone games ever, Angry Birds, has just dropped a massive update for said game. Not only does it add Game Center support, Retina Display graphics, and 15 new levels, but it boasts an "awesome" new Golden Egg sound board to boot. Version 1.4.2 adds to the recent 1.4.1 update, which brought 15 reconstructed levels and new achievements, and it certainly adds significant value to the 99 cent game.

If you're an iPhone wielder and you haven't played Angry Birds yet, get yourself over to the App Store [iTunes link], and be prepared to waste many hours on one of the simplest (and best) mobile games of all time.

Full change log after the break.

A BIG FAT UPDATE – GAME CENTER, RETINA DISPLAY, AND NEW LEVELS!

As usual, Angry Birds gives the most generous updates of any app!

New Features in version 1.4.2:
- GAME CENTER SUPPORT
- RETINA DISPLAY SUPPORT
- 15 TOUGH NEW LEVELS
- AN AWESOME NEW GOLDEN EGG SOUND BOARD
- LOCALIZATION FOR EFIGS, CHINESE AND JAPANESE
- OPTIMIZED MEMORY USAGE
