Google Apps Marketplace celebrates 6 months with a dozen new apps
Unless you're using Google Apps at work, you might not be familiar with the Google Apps Marketplace. It's Google's playground for third party apps that add functionality to the existing Google Apps suite, and it's 6 months old today. Although you don't hear much about the Apps Marketplace, it has over 200 apps and 4 million users.Google is celebrating the half-birthday of the Apps Marketplace by introducing twelve new apps. Some of the more useful-looking ones include Shared Contacts Service, which shares a single contact list across every account in your Google Apps domain, Elance, a freelance hiring service, and Insync, which is like Dropbox for Google Apps.

So Insync is actually sponsored by google then? I was apprehensive to try it out thinking it was like a new version of gmail drive that google could disable at any point.

So far as I can tell, these are all third party services.

A quick note: the Insync link currently goes to the Elance page in the marketplace.
