iPhone Game Center may top out at at 500 friends
If you're lonely and friendless, Apple's iPhone Game Center can hook you up with buddies to play with. If you're super-popular, though, it's not really designed for you, as your Game Center social network reportedly tops out at your 500 closest friends. Granted, 500 friends is a ton, especially when they're just the friends you game with. Most of us will never reach that limit, but the folks who have are reporting that Game Center doesn't handle it very well.According to Rene Ritchie at TiPb, when you hit 501, your friend requests stop coming through entirely. If you drop one friend, you'll get to see the next friend request in line, but that's all. That means there's no way to choose which of your many friends will be in your 500. The 500-friend limit might make sense in terms of reducing strain on the system, especially with Game Center barely a week old, but Apple should figure out a more elegant way to handle things once more than 500 requests come in.

Double-check your headline: "...may top at out at 500 friends."

I know this website likes to pander to apple haters (and google lovers). But if this the worst you could come up with for the new Game Center, then I will assume it really works well.
