iOS 4.1 has been jailbroken
It sounds like there's still some work to do -- you can't jailbreak your iOS 4.1 device just yet! -- but I expect it'll only be a matter of days before the exploit finds its way into the hands of the pearly white masses.

Great! I'm still on 3.1.3 on my 3g, now that Apple have made an update that won't ruin my phone all I have to do is wait for an update to one of the jailbreaking tools simple enough for a fool like myself to use.
