Matt: They're not finished. They've reached a milestone of being within 20-30% of chrome. This may vary from machine to machine. At the rate they're going, they'll reach parity before final.
Crazy Serb: That's a stereotype from the pre-Firefox 3.0 days. Look at any respectable benchmark results that compares Firefox to any other browsers on memory consumption. Firefox always wins. Normally when people compare browsers, they do it in a very unfair way. Like use browser A for a couple hours and then open browser B for a couple minutes, reopening the tabs from browser A in browser B. Then when they open Task Manager they cry Bloat! or Memory leaks. Uh, no... memory cache. Sure, some of it could memory leaks but this is true for all browsers.
