IM+ gets a Web app, but it's not up to Meebo's level yet
Multi-protocol IM over the Web is a great thing. You can be on your home machine, your work machine, or a borrowed laptop, and your contact lists and chat history are right there where you left them. IM+ for Web is a Web app version of the popular IM+ mobile client, and I can't help comparing it to the other major player in this space, Meebo.
I've been using Meebo for quite a while, and, while it has its flaws, it still holds up to the competition from IM+. The main advantage Meebo has is flexibility in its interface: you can move your chat windows around, and see more than one of them on the screen at once. IM+ for Web, on the other hand, doesn't have tabs for individual chats, and the active chat takes up 80% of your browser window. To switch between conversations, you have to select your buddy from the "chats" tab of your contact list.
It's not all bad, though. IM+ for Web does handle being signed in with multiple accounts across several services without a lot of lag, and it keeps a running chat log of your conversations if you want. However, while IM+ gives Meebo a run for its money in terms of iPhone apps, it's still lagging behind on the Web.

No comment on Trillian's Web Client? That version is the best I have used!
