Little Stars for Little Wars is a strategy Time Waster

littlestarsforlittlewars

Little Stars for Little Wars doesn't actually have much to do with Star Wars, except for the name.

It's a fun Time-Waster, but it was a tad tricky for me to figure out. Here's how it works: You control a "planet". Your planet makes "ships" at a certain rate. If you click your planet and then another planet, your ships are sent over to that new planet. If they outnumber that planet's ships, they conquer it.

You can click your planet and drag on to the other planet for creating a constant barrage of ships, where they will be sent as fast as your planet can make them. When your planet sends out its ships, it obviously loses them (and so has less ships). This makes your own planet vulnerable to attack. If the computer then sends its own ships on to your planet and your planet is too weak, it is conquered.

Planets are interconnected in complex patterns, so there are often two paths leading to (or from) each planet. You can only send ships out on one path at a time, which leaves the other one wide open. This means you need to conquer the planet that's on its other side, or else it would attack you.

You can also keep flowing ships to a planet you've already conquered, to boost its power. This way you can concentrate your ships on one strategically-placed planet, and then launch an attack on another planet when you've accumulated enough power.

Once you figure out the weird graphics, this is a very engaging, fun Time Waster. Highly recommended if you like strategy.
