I spent 10 years using Windows exclusively. 5 years ago I switched to a Mac. I can't stand the thought of giving up OSX I'm not truly anti-Windows as it works well for a lot of people doing basic crap. I can't stand Windows anymore but thats only because I haven't had a chance to play with Win 7 yet.
I have read alot of good things about it. Annoying however is that the only thing anybody can ever say apart from the actual reviews I read is "Its cool how I can put two windows next to each other and they resize!" Wow. Is that really all that Win 7 does? No other features? SOLD I still have one WinXP machine running 3 programs I use. Other than that it is never on. My iMac G5 and my MacBook C2D are always running strong with no problems.
10 years on Windows was 10 years with problems and crashes and freezing and all sorts of plagues. I do hope to play with 7 and get my own feel but I can't see leaving Mac OSX which works great consistently and has amazing support. When you purchase Winblows and you have a problem you're out of luck for support. But they're more than happy to show you the new line of junk.
Take care and enjoy what you like. I chastise no one for liking what works for them. I even recommended my best friend purchase a Windows machine since the cheap crap machines out there running Microshaft's operating system will take care of him for once in a while checking his e-mail and reading a few interesting sites.
Oh yeah... in 5 years of my iMac G5 running strong that cost me $1800, my Dad is complaining about his 2nd Windows machine running like crap and the two machines in the same 5 years have cost him a total of $2700. Hmm.... you say Mac is too expensive? Match up quality and find Windows gets more expensive.

Sorry that I pissed off some people. Happy that I pissed off a few of them

please don't pretend to be unbiased and then proceed to use terms like "Winblows" and "Microshaft" as it makes you come off as a complete jackass.

i installed Vista on launch day. i installed 7 on launch day. the only times i have ever had my computer crash was when i messed with my BIOS or installed bad graphics drivers. use Windows 7 for a day and you will see it is far more than just window management.

Agreed. I was out of line. I still have heard very few people enjoy their windows experience. Glad that you do. Hopefully Win7 is awesome. I doubt I'll buy it but I will check it out when feasible.

As far as the other responder... Thought I was more arrogant than ignorant but I guess both terms fit. The last word however smelled kinda bad.
