LastPass extension now securely manages your passwords and forms on Safari 5

As soon as Safari 5 was released and support for 3rd-party extensions was announced, users began wondering just how long it would take for many of their favorite Google Chrome and Firefox add-ons to be ported. If you've been waiting for the awesome secure password and form fill tool LastPass, good news -- the Safari 5 extension is ready to rock.

Once you've installed the LastPass extension and logged in, you can slide the toolbar into view by clicking the LastPass icon on your Safari 5 toolbar. The core functions are all working well -- accessing your vault, generating secure passwords, etc. -- but I did experience occasional funkiness when opening favorite sites. I'm not sure whether that's Safari 5 at work or the LastPass extension, but whatever the case may be it won't prevent you from getting things done.
