CU3ER does awesome 3D slideshows in Flash
So, Flash is dying, eh? It's no longer a technology that is in "its spring."
Alright, sure, I can see why Jobs would say that. I have to say that, as a user, I really, really dislike Adobe. They make horrible software, if you ask me; I've had some awful experiences with CS3, and I'd take antiquated CorelDRAW 12 (not to mention the new X5) over InDesign any day. I won't even go into the super-steep prices and draconian licensing policies!
When HTML5 can do what CU3ER does, then you can tell me Flash is dying. This is one of the slicker looking slideshows that I've seen recently. It's just a simple cube with some nice transitions. It can rotate, and it can divide into vertical slices that rotate in sequence or zoom out, rotate, and zoom back in. In short, it can do all sorts of neat tricks, and everything is so smooth.
Oh, and did I mention that it's completely free, too? It's also under active development and has a new version coming soon (so they say, at least). If you're a Flash developer and know of another really nice, free Flash gallery that can do stuff you can't do with JavaScript and HTML5, do let me know in the comments.

You can actually do something like that with HTML5 and CSS3... I mean, it's hard, but it is posible... the technology is right there.

totally possible

I stopped listening to you after you said "They make horrible software," so you may have said something intelligent somewhere later in your message, but I rather doubt it.

horrible software?
that means you suck in photo-editing or whatever ground base adobe is covering!
go get a decent training :-)
saying Adobe makes horrible software is like saying Microsoft makes bug-free software

No. 1 - You obviously haven't used Windows 7.
No. 2 - Not everyone on Earth is an Adobe fanboy (I also prefer Corel)
No. 3 - The amount of bloat that has accumulated with Adobe software over the years has become ridiculous
No. 4 - For the average user Adobe software is WAY over the top

If you ask me, as far as 3D flash photo galeries go, nothing beats tiltviewer!

Interesting but again I do not like the flash requirement without graceful degradation. In my opinion if your pictures are good then they should be focus instead of some eye-candy script that is not your own.

Your right! Let's all invent better wheels and better fire! I bet your the kinda guy who doesn't wrap his christmas presents because "the present should speak for itself". There's nothing wrong with giving a good picture a nice frame even if most of us are to dumb to write a decent eye-candy script ourself...
btw: do you built your own piano's? Don't tell me you let somebody else built them for you? The music should speak for itself...

Bummer, no graceful degradation for non-flash users. Sorry but eye-candy such as this is not worth the loss of accessibility in my book. Perhaps it could fall back to a static image but a JavaScript solution would be more desirable.

Ahhh, come on. HTML5 isn't too far behind: http://www.apple.com/html5/showcase/transitions/
(Yes, I know the demo there only works in Safari, but only because it's further ahead than the other browsers in implementing the new standards. i.e. http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-3d-transforms/).

HTML5test.com:
Safari 5: 214/300
Chrome 6: 223/300
It's ahead of *most* other browsers...
