Winning Foursquare mayorships just got a lot easier
If you're as obsessed with Foursquare as I am, here's some good news for you: there's finally a site that lets you see how many more checkins you need to become mayor of your favorite venue. It's called When Will I Be Mayor?, and it offers features like venue monitoring so that you always know how close you are to achieving a mayorship.
I've been waiting for something like this for a while because I'm a geek, and geeks like to break games. I can see how some people could see it as going too far, though. Do we really need to obsessively track imaginary points that (for the most part) don't really get you anything but a sense of personal satisfaction?
Yeah, we totally do! I just wish it was possible to sort the list by the spots where you need the fewest checkins to take over the mayorship.

I don't find foursquare any bit geeky anymore, one too many people flood my twitter and facebook feeds with nothing but their stupid checkins. Oh, I'm at the university, come stalk me! OH, I'm at the gas station, come stalk me here too! or hey, I'm in my bedroom at home! It's more annoying than anything, it's no better than farmville flooding my page
