Uproot bothersome infections with NoVirusThanks Malware Remover
NoVirusThanks has offered an excellent Web-based malware scanning tool for quite some time. They've also had a desktop uploader you can use to submit files for analysis.
Somewhat more recently, they added another tool to their offerings: the NoVirusThanks Malware Remover. It's a desktop program which is designed to find and remove all kinds of nasties like rogue antivirus apps, spyware, adware, and trojans. The program's scanning speed is rather slow -- but then I'm not usually in a hurry when it comes to making sure malware is completely removed from a computer.
The settings tab includes a handful of useful configuration tweaks. You can choose to have Remover update its database prior to every scan (a good idea), create system restore points prior to deleting files, back up any removed files, and more. You can also run a 'paranoid scan,' though I can't tell you what the difference is -- there's no reference in the help file or on the official web site.
Stay tuned for a full review of this one. I'm going to pit it against my customers' malware on the workbench over the next few days, so we'll see how it stacks up to my current apps of choice: Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware.

Looking forward to your review. I was unaware of NoVirusThanks, and am also going to give it try.

I was just wondering if you've had the time to test it out properly? I've been looking around but havn't been able to find any good review about it as of yet.
