Steve Jobs speaks candidly about Adobe, Google, the iPhone, iPad and more!

He talked a lot, and on a huge range of topics which aren't really 'Download Squad-ish'. Still, I've collated a bunch of reports, live blogs and video clips that cover his appearance at D8 -- even if you're not an Appleite, it's interesting to see how the world's second most powerful CEO does things and how he thinks about things.
- A live blog of the entire session -- if you want to read it blow-by-blow (without videos, though)
- On the iPhone dropping calls in the USA -- it's AT&T's fault, according to Steve, and it's being worked on [video]
- Regarding that stolen/missing iPhone that Gizmodo bought... -- Steve's not gonna let it go! Heads WILL roll! Also, He speaks about company ethos and scruples [video]
- Steve Jobs on... Flash! -- and a little chortle at Apple surpassing Microsoft in market capitalization [video]
- The iPad was designed before the iPhone -- a lovely glimpse at the R&D behind iPad (which became the iPhone!) Also, discusses editorial vs. bloggers...! [video]
- On the recent Google/Apple animosity -- 'Google started it!!!' But no, really: on the Apple/Microsoft platform war (which Steve denies ever existed), and now with Google attempting to compete with Apple. Steve talks about the open-sourcing of WebKit, and how many modern Web browsers use it!

Thanks for packaging all the Steve Jobs stuff in ONE post, and not littering your front page with Jobs quotes....

And o yea. I found what he was saying very interesting. It almost seemed as if he'd be ok with flash on the iPad if Adobe could produce a stable version, but it really doesn't matter now cuz it sells like hotcakes already

You're welcome -- we're a download site, after all... but what he has to say might impact downloads quite a lot, in the long run :)

Ummm... the last two links are duplicates of the one before them. All three link to Jobs speaking about Flash. At least at the time of this posting....

i don't suppose the ipod touch was mentioned? hopelessly holding out for the 4g to include a camera or two with bluetooth and well the upgraded wifi would be nice and the larger battery with gps? is that asking for too much? if i could afford or even needed a phone i'd get the iphone but i just don't use the phone but maybe 30 mins a month if that nor can i afford 80 bucks a month to use free wifi or my computer network. *sigh* my poor old 1g is dying... i'd like to get a replacement with the above mentioned inclusions before it totally craps out. please.
