The Location History feature has been a part of Google since November, 2009. This allows you to see where you have been via Google Latitude. The new feature, however, is the Google Latitude Dashboard, which classifies your trips to landmarks extrapolated by the passive tracking. So, if you spend about eight hours during the day in an office building, it assumes that is your office. And, if you spend most of your nights in a residential address, it assumes that is your home. The new feature is very cool, and deserves a proper write up.
