Microsoft's Spindex aggregates Facebook, Twitter, and even Evernote
Microsoft just made a play to ensure its future in the era of social networks by ... aggregating everybody else's. Spindex, Microsoft's new social product, gathers your Facebook, Twitter, RSS, Bing and even Evernote into one convenient location. We don't really know much about Spindex yet, but it has the feel of a Friendfeed (which was at least successful enough to be acquired by Facebook) or a Google Buzz. What Microsoft has said is that Spindex will be less focused on delivering real-time results -- the whole real-time thing is pretty crowded -- and more focused on cutting down the social clutter and showing you the most relevant stuff in your feed. I can get behind that philosophy -- my Facebook and Buzz are both unreadably messy! Spindex is a product of FUSE, Microsoft's social software lab, so it's not guaranteed to become a major Microsoft product, but we'll keep track of its progress and report as we find out more.

Next time, perhaps you could wait with the preview until you've actually had an invite and a chance to try it - contrary to retyping the press release.
