So the downside is that in the short term I expect fiber to get more expensive. The upshot, however, is down the line this will bring fiber down in cost for pretty much every application, not just in the house. Which is good stuff, because I've got some 3D projects that would need a LOT of bandwidth that are for now sitting on the back-burner.
