Rumors of Pirate Bay's demise are greatly exaggerated
You may remember all the rumors about The Pirate Bay selling out to Global Gaming Factory's Hans Pandeya, and Pandeya's repeated failures to come up with the money. Well, now he's claiming he has the required 10 million bucks this time, and that he'll buy The Pirate Bay and turn it legal within two months. Pandeya has been issuing press releases and plenty of bluster this week.TorrentFreak, a top source of news for the torrent community, reported this story with the joking assertion that they had raised $11 million to outbid Pandeya and save The Pirate Bay. Of course, given Pandeya's track record, TorrentFreak's fake claim is worth about as much as his real bid: absolutely nothing. TorrentFreak talked to insiders at The Pirate Bay who say that Pandeya is all talk, and there's no deal happening.

Since Isohunt went down, TPB is pretty much the only public tracker left that I trust. If you're reddit user, check out baconbits.org.

isohunt went down? Maybe you should tell them that because I use them all the time. Though, you think isohunt is a tracker so you're more than a little confused. It is only a search and does not provide tracking, it never has.

I hope TPB doesn't go down any time soon. I never used to use it, but now that Mininova and Isohunt are down, I only have TPB and Demonoid. Demonoid has been down itself for a couple days. Unless it comes back, TBP will be my only way to get torrents :(

Great article title. Reminds me of the Rise Against song: Rumors of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated.
And I guess we could give credit to Mark Twain for saying it in the first place.
