Convert is a simple, versatile free unit converter for Windows
Convert is a small, free Windows utility which performs conversions between a huge array of metrics. Yes, Google can easily do this sort of this for you, but sometimes you're on a laptop with no web connections (and sometimes you may not feel like sharing everything with Google, although unit conversions are hardly personal).
Convert comes either with an installer or as a single-file portable executable. You can easily set the decimal point precision (which is something you cannot do with Google's converter) and choose whether or not to use scientific notation.
The author says it runs under WINE just fine (so it can be used in Linux), and it apparently runs in 107 countries...and also extraterrestrialy.

I have been using this for years. You can't ask for much more from a program. It's portable, it does what it promises and does it well. I highly recommend it for any USB key software toolkit.

I'm using the one in Windows 7 Calculator (View > Unit Conversion).

I have used this for probably 8 years or more. Way to be on the cutting edge... ;-)
Hey, better late than never I guess.

Boris you're not ecstatic about this??? Personally, as an engineer I love this program and the simple UI. It appeals to me 'aesthetically'.

I think they need to get another 2 or 3 rows of tabs in there and they'll be all set.

I've always used Converber. Works great for the little thing that it is.
