Mobile app helps Americans find prescriptions and free health clinics
In a down economy, with health care reform passed but not yet in effect, a lot of Americans need prescription assistance and cheap or free medical help. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance has released a mobile app for iPhone and Blackberry that makes help easier to find. It lets you see which medicines PPA might be able to help you pay for, as well as pointing you to the closest of 10,000 free health care clinics. Sure, you could just Google the clinics, but sometimes it's hard to tell whether the clinic results on Google Maps are free. Google also doesn't offer prescription discounts to people without any drug coverage. (Well, not yet anyway. After Google's experiments with genetics, who knows what's next?) The app also helps you figure out whether you qualify for assistance. So, if you've been thinking of selling your iPhone to pay for prescriptions, try downloading the PPA app instead.

if you have an iphone, but can't pay for health insurance, that says a lot about your priorities.

I was just going to post the same thing.

Perhaps the target market is those that had health insurance and could afford an iPhone when they signed the contract, but are now unemployed or underemployed with no health insurance.
Also, try finding a health insurance plan for even twice the cost of a monthly iPhone plan.

@Lonnie McClure: I can tell you don't pay for your own health insurance. The most basic plan you can get will run an individual less than $50 per month.

people are so judgmental. how can you compare an iphone to the cost of health insurance? just like lonnie said, just because you have an iphone
but no health insurance doesn't mean that you are making bad decisions.
i guess you suppose to sell everything worth anything to pay for one month of insurance. get a grip, and no i don't own a iphone and yes i have excellent health care insurance.
