Microsoft's "Manual Deskterity" input concept a perfect fit for Courier
There's been plenty of talk about Microsoft's slick, dual-screen Courier tablet (check out Engadget's coverage of the device). While we still don't know when it's going to appear on retail shelves, it's safe to say that the touch-plus-pen input system demonstrated in the video above would be awesome on the Courier.
"Manual Deskterity" aims to meld pen and multi-touch input into a more "real" experience: think moving papers around your desk, jotting notes on them, then dropping them into folders for filing. The thinking here is that pen input is great for certain tasks, but not others -- and the same can be said for touch. By combining the two, Microsoft researchers hope to enable a whole new variety of tools for interacting with your computer.
They're currently playing with Deskterity on Surface, though the official blog post states that at least one piece of existing hardware -- the Dell XT2 -- could potentially handle it as well.

The other option is we get former Tennis Champ and TV commentator Jim Courier to jump into a silver sleeping bag and we can draw all over him with magic marker :)
