Adobe counts down to April 12 launch for Creative Suite 5
It's been nearly two years since the last update to Adobe's Creative Suite, so the designers among you will be glad to hear that Adobe has announced a launch date for the brand-spanking-new CS 5: April 12th! In less than a month, you'll be able to play with those sweet new features we've seen in Adobe's tech demos, and hopefully get a bit of a performance upgrade over CS4, too.
At the countdown site, you can register to view the live online launch on the morning of the 12th, which will include a first look at the new features that have made the CS5 cut.
As a sidenote, if you were planning on taking advantage of upgrade pricing for your CS1 apps, you should do it now. Adobe's John Nack says the cutoff for upgrades will go up by one when the new version comes out, meaning upgrades from CS1 will no longer be available.

Adobe CS starts to follow the path of Corel Draw. Odd numbers on version are okay and even numbers suck so much.
