GMail labs now lets you refresh POP3 mailboxes with a single click
Finally, Google enabled an easy way to check for incoming POP3 email from within GMail. This is a very welcome addition. To enable it, go to the Labs tab under Settings (or click on the Labs icon if you enabled it), and turn on the option called "Refresh POP accounts".
From that moment on, every time you hit "Refresh", GMail would check all of your incoming POP mailboxes for new messages. So next time someone tells me they emailed me and wants me to look at it ASAP, I no longer have to go the whole convoluted route I used to take for checking POP through GMail. Yay!

Nice. I don't need to do that too often, but when I do want to do it, it does seem to be much more convoluted than it should be. And now it's just a click away.
