Recent Tabs extension for Google Chrome speeds tab switching

Jumping back and forth between browser windows is easy -- alt+tab has taken care of that for ages. If you prefer restricting your browsing activities to a single browser window, however, bouncing back and forth between two tabs can be a little trickier.

The Recent Tabs extension for Google Chrome handles this task nicely. Once installed, you can invoke the switcher via ctrl+q or ctrl+`. sInstead of keeping your tabs in the order they were opened, they'll be displayed in the order you access them.

Need to jump from a source article to a blog post you're writing (or an email you're composing)? Just tap one of the hotkey pairings.

I'd love to see two small additions to Recent Tabs. First, a user-definable hotkey would be welcome -- and it appears as though the developer is working on this already. Second, I'd also like to be able to customize the number of tabs which appear. I'd rather see a handful of my most recent and not all my open tabs -- if I need to switch to something other than my last two or three, I'll probably just use the tab bar.

Recent Tabs is an incredibly handy extension for writers and anyone else who needs to reference of share content. You can grab it from the official Extensions Gallery.
