Back4Sure makes it easy to backup files to removable disks
One of the more irritating problems in trying to automate backup to a USB drive is that the drive letter may randomly change. There are utilities to keep this from happening, but they can be a bit of a hassle to set up.
Back4Sure is a simple backup utility with all of the generic features you would expect, and one nice extra: It lets you specify the destination volume by label (i.e, "SteveUSB" or whatever nifty name you gave your drive), rather than by letter. Backup jobs can be started from the command line, which means you can create an Autorun file for your USB device of choice and have backup run automagically whenever you plug it in.
Back4Sure is portable, freeware, and available in both English and German.

Sounds cool, will give it a try.
I have used quite a few free back-up software's in the past, and pretty much all of them have issues with file names/ pathways being over the 255 limit, which is a pain as a couple of our users seem to create essay length file names as they add more and more to the file.
This means that if you used the built-in back-up utilities for XP (not tried it in Vista or Win 7) it will completely stop the back-up with an error. GFI Free edition compresses the root file and all the files within are zipped to get around it.
The only decent and really simple one I have used so far is Second Backup. It handles everything without asking.
I'll check out this one though as I love using different solutions.

Just wanted to comment that the name sounds like a Left 4 Dead sequel.
