Extensions and bookmark sync finally come to Chrome Beta for Mac

Big news today for Mac users who love Google's Chrome browser. The latest beta version of the browser includes two important features we've already seen in developer builds and in the Windows version of Chrome: extensions and bookmark syncing. If you've been holding off on trying Chrome until it supported extensions, now's the time to jump in. Folks running previous beta versions should be upgraded automatically.

Chrome extensions, while not as prolific as Firefox add-ons yet, have come a long way. Download Squad has already written two excellent extension roundups, where Sebastian and Lee picked their favorites. You can also explore the Chrome extensions gallery and see if you can find what you need there. Google's also put out an adorable new Chrome Mac promo video. Watching it won't make your browser any faster, but it might brighten up your day a little bit. Check it out after the jump.
