TV Gorge lets you watch popular shows online for free -- with no geotarding!
Computer users like me and Martin at GHacks, who live outside the U.S. don't often get to partake in the online media goodness that our American pals do. One notable except is TVGorge, a site which offers free, online viewing of dozens of popular TV shows.
The list includes everything from 24, Chuck, CSI, and NCIS to The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, and South Park. You can even tune in to one of my current guilty pleasures -- Steven Seagal: Lawman. Video quality is fairly good, you can watch in full screen, and you're not limited to the current season. All 24 episodes from all eight seasons of 24 are available, for example.
I have my doubts as to how long the site will stay up, especially once it experiences the upsurge in popularity that usually follows an app like this being outed on blogs. But hey, in the meantime it's a great place that non-U.S. residents can watch shows in their browser.

I think all but one of those shows mentioned is available on Hulu.

...which is geotarded.

What a fantastic site. It's been driving some of my friends nuts as to why we in the UK are always behind the USA for TV shows. At least this way they won't have to wait.
Lost fans rejoice I guess.
Thanks for the article.

Top Gear is on this. I am pleased.
Now just get Doctor Who and Torchwood on there and it'll be my favoritest site ever.

ninjavideo.net make any other tv site seem like children. why?
its not flash.its selection is one of the biggest ive seen. zero commericals. episodes are up minutes after airing and its been around for two years already and is only growing.

I have to second the ninjavideo.net referral. I'm not sure if it's available outside the US, but it's definitely worth checking out.

Is Hulu not available to those overseas through proxy.org? I wouldn't know because I've never tried it in another country.

this sites doesn't really seem legal... and if you aren't going the legal route anyway, you might as well use ninjavideo.net or re1ease.net(which has a UK proxy, or icefilms.info... the list goes on.. if you aren't going to do legal anyway why bother with flash? ick.

And it dies.

And it dies? It's still up and working just fine..
TVGorge in my opinion is no different then CastTV and tvshack - it says right on the "About Us" page they just link to or embed existing videos. They've just done a nice job of aggregating quality sources and making it easy for us to find the videos.
So I give TVGorge a thumbs up for their efforts!

So... as of today..... TVGorge is charging =(
either you have to do a survey (which are never free since you have to submit your mobile number and then get signed up to $5 a msg service crap)
or
you have to pay via paypal for 2 weeks access.
Another good site that got too greedy, why didn't they just put up ads and leave it at that.

thanks you for explaining that survey bullshit, just this morning i watch american idol latest episode just fine, i've started praising this site for its quality,virus-free, and rapidity ,u don't have to wait an hour to upload, and now tonight i was about to watch "bones" season4 and bam this survey shit supposedly free, i mean hello 4.5euros for 2 weeks are they mad
i was so in love with this site, the size of the screen which gave a tv quality to it, i'm not watching tvshows illegally for fun, i dont have a tv anymore, been a year now so no access to us cable plus i dont live in the usa, and watching online is all about seeing ur shows when most convenient to u! dissapointed ,and i only stumble across tvgorge a month ago by accident as i was usually searching for a place to see my shows on, boy am i glad i watch "lost" last night urrghhh
angeMar 5th 2010 1:57AM
me too! i just stumbled upon it looking for something... disappointing and yes never do those survey things! i am like you, not in US so i watch things too! lol

I have been watching tvgorge for a few weeks but today I got the survey thing which is awful, so opted to pay the $2.00 or there abouts. The took my payment but the content is still blocked - so I guess they didn't just get greedy they turned dishonest. I have written to them for a refund or for them to unblock content, so we shall see.

Yes this site was good at first now it makes you take a survey, they call it that, but all it is, is something to make you purchase to continue. I did this the other nite and had to send a text to cancel the membership for some quiz site. It did tell me I had 2 weeks unlimited use of tv gorge. Well its four days later and its popping up on the screen again. This site sucks, they lied and i am never getting on it again. Please dont click on the survey links cause it all wants you to join them for a fee.
