Get WinPatrol Plus for only 99 cents -- today only!
WinPatrol has been a favorite with geeky types for quite some time. It's an amazing little tool to complement your antivirus software and keep tabs on what's going on inside your system. It also comes in two flavors: the basic version (free) and a 'plus' version with free lifetime upgrades ($29.95).
In what he's describing as an experiment, WinPatrol's developer Bill Pytlovany has decided to drop the price to 99 cents for today only.
As is usually the case when someone offers an insanely good deal on an equally insanely good piece of software, expect his site to be hammered non-stop by technicians and admins who want a piece of the action.
The 99 cent deal still gets you a lifetime of upgrades. Head over to the Winpatrol site now , grab the coupon code (or try the direct link to the Yahoo! store if that doesn't work), and support Bill's crazy experiment!

Nice find Lee.
Hopefully the best 63 British pennies I have spent on my little ol' PC.

I bought it for 99 cents and so far I prefer autoruns. But only time will tell.

I agree with the other guys... why pull out your credit card for even a negligible charge when you can get the same features for free? Here's the download link that you all are looking for:

Guys.... This does WAY more than what Autoruns has to offer. I've been using it for years. It will catch all those nasty auto-runs BEFORE they reach your registry/start-up folder and ask you to allow/deny. It monitors your HOSTS file. It locks program associations. Trust me... You need this program.

This is a no brainer, I've been using the free version for about 3 years now and figure I owe this cat more than $.99 by now. Thanks for the headsup Lee!

Too bad he doesn't use PayPal, I would've bought it by now (despite probably never getting around to using it). Other software can do the trick.

I've been using paid-up WinPatrol since what, v6? It's not the most all-powerful process tool out there, but it's the most comprehensive and has the best UI. And the file database is very helpful when your HP printer wants to install 6 autorun services you will never need, or you want to identify and locate the folder of a URP (Unidentified Running Process). Independent developers should be supported if their product is as good as this.
