Google Chrome extensions, bookmark sync ready for prime time on Windows

Bookmark sync debuted in the dev channel back in August of 2009 and extension support began taking shape all the way back in March. Both features have been extremely popular with Chrome's enthusiastic base of testers, and it will be interesting to see how the general public reacts to the additions.
We've highlighted some great Google Chrome extensions before -- I compiled a list of 15, and Sebastian offered up his 10 must-haves. The official Extensions Gallery now has more than 1,500 in total and it's growing at a rapid pace.
It'll be interesting to see how the move to the stable channel affects extension development. There are still plenty of Firefox add-ons people would love to see ported to Chrome -- perhaps this will provide an additional impetus.

But why does the Chrome(ium) bookmark sync go to Google Docs, and the Google Toolbar sync to bookmarks.google.com? Why have to sync sources?
