i tried using Fishbowl for a while but i wasn't very impressed. it downloaded a bunch of pictures from my friends' photo albums and somehow they got into my Zune collection. if it was just photos i would have no complaints but somehow my friends' names started showing up under "Artists" on my Zune HD and now there are files i can't identify that i can't remove from the device.

By default,it's going to put your pictures in your pictures directory. If you have the default setting for your Zune, it will automatically pick them up (so you can sync them with your Zune). Either save the files in a different directory, or tell your Zune software to ignore your pictures directory. Regardless, it is working as it is supposed to; the Zune software can't read your mind.

dude. did you read my whole post? because it sounds like you read the first 2 sentences and thought you would try to be a jerk. maybe that works on Gadling but not here.
