defriended app for iPhone keeps track of Facebook meanies who unfriend you
Update (19:12 EST): Facebook has moved quickly and banned the App already! I don't actually own an iPhone, but if I had one, this would be my first app!
A snip at just 99 cents, defriended lets you know when you've been removed by a Facebook friend.
We've all been there: you wake up, sit down at your computer, tab to Facebook, hit F5, poke some cute girls... and then you notice your friends box. Your number of friends! It's gone down by one! WTF!
The whole 'no notifications for unfriending' thing has always been a bit of a sticking point. Some people -- social networking types and conscientious girls -- would love to know who unfriended them. I think most of us would rather just sweep it under the rug and forget all about it -- after all, it's never nice to lose a friend :(
But anyway, if you're the curious, masochistic type, give it a go (iTunes app store link).

I haven't seen one, but it's the kind of thing that should pop up sooner or later. Shout if you find one :)

Must! Have! Me! Wants! NOW!!
Too bad iPhone sucks and I'd have to be an iDiot to even consider getting one. So, a little SOL until a Windows alternative pops up.

On the other hand, you'd have to be an absolute genius to come up with something as clever as "iDiot."

Note that I can still read the censored text. Might want to blur that some more. :)

Don't tell me -- I ripped it off the app's site.

Is it just me, or is the Facebook friend count never accurate anyway? Without adding new people, my number always jumps up and down plus or minus 2, 3 people. This happened when I had 300-400 contacts, and it still persists to happen when I have around 700.

You are probably just being unfriended by lots of people :P

Actually, I have noticed the same same thing. At one point I'll have, say, 310 contacts and next day it'll go down to 308 then jump back to 309 without me adding any new contacts or getting a notification that someone else accepted my request. So could it be that if a user doesn't log in for over a certain period of time, it is labeled "inactive" and affects the numbers but then the user logs in and it becomes active again? I doubt it but it bugs me when my number of friends are ever changing without me knowing. I understand when someone defriends me but hey, why does it go back up without my knowledge?

Yep, I also notice that kind of behaviour. I always thought it was because every user is 'on' a different server, and they occasionally go down for maintenance (sometimes you can't view photos or a person's profile, so I presume this is the same thing).
