Speccy is a handy, portable system information tool from the makers of CCleaner
CCleaner has been one of my most used (and most trusted) apps for years. The same goes for Defraggler. There's no denying that the crew at Piriform really knows how to make useful little programs.
Speccy is a more recent addition to the family, and it's a handy little tool for gathering information about the hardware in a Windows PC. While it's not as detailed as some other system information tools, Speccy still provides a good deal of essential information and gathers it quickly. You can also take a snapshot of the system details and open them for review later.
As with other Piriform apps, Speccy is available either as an installer or a zip-compressed portable app -- perfect for taking with you on your USB flash drive.

These guys are good guys. CCleaner is definitely a most used Program. I tend to use MyDefrag instead of defraggler. This is a nice little priogram.
Firefox 3.6 rc1 has been released btw.

SIW is a nice tool but can give you false readings or information in some areas.
Myself I prefer Speccy....
Free is good

Its nice but as mentioned quite limited. What is shown in the screen shot is pretty much it. Each category does have considerably detailed information, but if you are looking for - say - your wireless card type (broadcom/atheros) then SIW portable is fine. And i can't recall it ever giving me wrong info. But knowing CCleaner, give them time for an update or two and it should become one of the standards fast enough.

I agree with toe_head2001, SIW has a lot more info about your pc.

Speccy always gets stuck trying to figure out my GPU, I've tried it out since it was first released and it's the same, can't figure out that I have a Radeon HD 4870 X2; and I've contacted them a lot about this bug and still it keeps happening in each version of the app...so I've given up on it!
