Get Microsoft Tinker for free via the newly-launched Games on Demand

I'm certainly not impressed with the price points Microsoft has posted on the 12 pay-to-play titles they've listed so far. Kane and Lynch, for example, is offered for 1600 Xbox points. That's about $20. Why would I pay that when I just saw the same game for $9.97 in the bargain bin?
I will, however, take my copy of Tinker at no charge. Yes, the lovable little robot who first appeared as a Vista Ultimate extra is now yours to enjoy courtesy Games on Demand! Download the Games for Windows Live installer, create your gamertag (or sign in with your existing one), and click the details button for Tinker on the front page.
Now, Microsoft does want customer information on you before initiating your download - Games for Windows Live/Games on Demand is a store, after all. Here are a few helpful tips if all you want is a free copy of Tinker:
- You don't have to use accurate information
- When asked for a credit card, choose skip
- Change your payment type to Xbox points and the confirm button will light up
update: the game is also mirrored at Softpedia now if you prefer a more direct approach.
Enjoy your Tinkering!

I found it was kind of neat that Tinker has Acheivements now
but yah it gets an error if you try using a credit card, so you have to select to get it with points

Heh, 150G free -- I'll take that. They're not all easy though. Some of those levels are downright devlish.
