Don't want Windows 7? Psystar makes it easy to install Mac OS X on any computer
If all the excitement about Windows 7 isn't floating your boat, you might be interested to see that notorious Mac cloners Psystar have released an app that makes it easy to run any OS - including Apple's OS X - on any machine.Psystar's app, Rebel EFI, just needs to be burnt to a CD, and from there users can follow instructions to install the OS of their choice. No word yet on how this might play into Apple's lawsuit against Psystar for selling PC hardware with OS X preinstalled.
The full version is $49.99, but a working demo is available for free. The demo will apparently stick you with "limited hardware functionality," so it might be good to test it on a backup machine, and then buy the full version for your main PC.
Although Win7 was released today, Psystar says it's compatible with Rebel EFI. Not such a big deal for Mac users, who already have a few ways to run Windows operating systems on their Intel hardware.

Seriously! They will break into their houses and murder them while asleep.
How could they even do this?!!? Mac OS is only supposed to run on Apple Hardware and they make this after a on-going lawsuit with Apple.
Wow! Just Wow!

Already got my Dell Hackbook Mini 9 running Snow Leopard, but I will probably grab this off the torrent sites tomorrow for another machine.

Apple will have a much tougher time heading this off. I can hear it now: "their enabling potential violation of our OSX license", which probably won't fly anywhere but East Texas.

That didn't work for me. I booted with the CD, dropped my snow leopard in and it just rebooted.
Ah well. :(

I've had no luck with this for Leopard using a normal DVD, and 2 versions of a hacked DVD -- in VMWare. Gonna try on real hardware later.

Didn't work for me either. Tried it on an AMD X2 with cheapy ECS motherboard (GeForce 6100 chipset). The bootload loaded, popped in the OSX dvd-dl it got thru a little bit then reboots each time.

Tried it on another one of my systems. An AMD Phenom X4 9550 on a Foxconn A7GM-S ver. 1.0. It's got the AMD 780G chipset and the SB700 southbridge. It didn't work on this system either, it reboots at about the same spot.
iDeneb by itself seems to get further than this software does into the OSX boot. Not really understanding how they can market the software this way.
