Why are you reviewing a product that is nice, but is dead, and hasn't changed since 2008?

Because the site is called Download Squad, not frequently-updated-applications squad.

WinExt is a neat application that many people will find useful even if it has a few bugs. And we've never covered it before on the site so I wanted to let people know about it after I first learned about it.

It doesn't really matter if it hasn't been updated in a while. Some of the best applications around are oldies but goodies.

I like winext, too, and have actually used it. But since there has been no chances since last time it was mentioned, why mention it again?

When was the last time it was mentioned? I did a site search before writing this article and didn't see anything about it.
