Camtasia screencasting software now has a Mac version
The recording of your screen, your Mac's audio output, sound from your microphone, and video from your iSight can all be easily arranged in the timeline along with any other elements you might want to import. Combine that with a nice effects library and easy sharing, and you've got a winning screencast app.
It's also currently discounted from $150 to $99.
Mac users have been salivating over Camtasia for a couple of years now, mainly because it tops other Mac screen recording software in terms of post-production and editing. The Mac version of Camtasia isn't exactly the same as the PC version, however.
Aside from the Mac-like UI design, it also has more options for editing the size, position and rotation of your video than its Windows counterpart. The Camtasia team has used their own software to record a screencast of Camtasia, and that's a good place to start getting familiar with the features. Having used the PC version for years, I grew tired of asking them about a Mac version and received somewhat rude comments from the company about it. Now fast forward a few years and they want to jump on the cash cow. I am dubious to say the least.
I hope that this spurs Ambrosia and others to amp up their own Mac capture apps.

Snow Leopard has built in screencasting capability.

Camtasia isn't simply a screen recorder. It is a full on video editor. Screenflow and Camtasia shouldn't have much to worry about with Snow Leopard. Even pure screen capture apps like Snapz Pro X are most likely going to offer way more than what snow leopard does.

True true, @lookatthepiggy, but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple was working on an OS native screencast editor a la iMovie. If iScreencast could take all the brilliant features and functionality of the new Camtasia for Mac, throw in the mouse effects of ScreenFlow, and sprinkle on a little iDust, screencasters would have their dream app. My review of the new Camtasia for Mac is here: http://bit.ly/1a2zrL
