Hi folks,
I'm Kevin, the founder of SnailMailr - thanks for the attention DownloadSquad!
At SnailMailr we're trying to make something that is quality and sustainable ... so that's why we're not offering it for free, we think maybe folks actually *want* to pay for some things, so they can feel confident, for example, that there won't be any advertising in the letter, etc.
Also - we don't know how to make money by sending letters for free (postage costs a lot!)... ;)
Our focus is on making the letter sending process quick and easy (no need to create an account, elegant interface, pay with an amazon account) ... and we guarantee that the letter, when received, will look *exactly* as it does on our confirmation page - we endeavor to make our customers comfortable (via our interface) that letters sent through our service will create a quality impression upon arrival.
We've got a discussion going on about these issues on our support page at: http://getsatisfaction.com/snailmailr
We want to make our service really useful and worthwhile, so - thanks for the invaluable feedback in the post, and thanks also to the community for the comments.
Cheers!
Kevin

Dear Sri Kevin,
Definitely it does not mean that anything that is offered free is inferior in quality. I am a most satisfied customer of this freepostit. How they send it free spending postage from their account is not known to me also. Perhaps from the profits they make from their commercial version. But my friends to whom I send photos or letters from my desk say that the quality of these photos are very excellant even above the quality of paid studio prints. Why not you test it yourself, if you have friends in their service area
