Automatically dismiss nag screens (and much more) with ClickOff
With free software, it's a given that you're going to encounter the occasional nag screen. You know, those in-your-face pop-up messages that remind you about an enhanced professional version or remind you that you haven't checked for updates in ages.
ClickOff is terrific at rubbing out annoying nag screens. Launch the program, switch to any window and press control + alt + d to add it to the "blacklist." The next time the screen appears, ClickOff will smack it down in the blink of an eye.
However, the goodness doesn't stop there. Using the advanced settings, you can configure ClickOff to perform an array of chores other than simply closing a window. It will minimize or maximize windows, right click, left click, and even send text. It's an incredibly handy little application for performing repetitive tasks.
The program might be old, but it still does the job quite nicely. It's a free download and runs on Windows.

I'd say "different." It's not necessarily "better" if you can also utilize the other things ClickOff is capable of doing.

Nice find, haven't got a use for it right now but I have had in the past and I'm sure I will again, so this has to go in the archived software folder of mine where lives countless little tools that I've long since forgotten the purpose of
setup.exe mstlv1.003.exe etc.

My current choice for Win7 64-bit is MSE, although I really dislike that you have to have Windows Update set on automatic updates in order to get MSE definitions updated automatically. I wish they were independent of each other, or at least the option was made to make it so.
I tried out AVG9 and it was causing conflicts with uTorrent, so it almost immediately got uninstalled. Avira was good, but for some reason it wasn't removing the eicar test file upon downloading. Had to manually scan the file. AVG also didn't remove it automatically upon download, so far only MSE has.
Once Avast 5 comes out of beta I'm definitely going to try it out. It's the AV I've normally installed on novice family member computers for the past few years.
