Are these the first images of Google Chrome OS?

An anonymous tipster sent the following images to us this morning, claiming they are actual images of Chrome OS. We can't say much for certain at this point, so pass judgment yourselves in the comments.
Do these images really show the early stages of Google's enigmatic OS, or are they just the work of a clever and industrious techy?

The (possible) early screenshots of the real Chrome OS you publish here look pretty much like the GoOS screenshots I've predicted and published TEN months ago on my blog and posted on several other forums and blogs!!!

It's not Chrome OS. Look at the buttons on the Google homepage.
They're not the buttons you see in chrome.

The UI for Google Chrome the browser already exists and looks nothing like this, so in what way is this even remotely plausible?
