Make Firefox 3 or 3.5 look like the Firefox 3.7 new theme mockup
Well, that sure didn't take long.
Just days ago Mozilla posted a few conceptual images displaying a new default theme for Firefox 3.7. Thanks to DeviantArt user Boneyard Brew and his friends, you can now tweak your existing Firefox 3 install (provided you're not running 3.6) look pretty dang close to the mockups.
You'll need to grab a couple things to pull off the transformation:

You'll need to grab a couple things to pull off the transformation:
- Personal Menu - One of my favorite add-ons. Needed to combine the bookmark and tools icons.
- All Glass - To add Vista / Windows 7 Aero Glass effects to the toolbars
- Stylish - To apply the provided UserStyle which tweaks inactive tab text
- The theme .JAR, from DeviantArt (of course)

Yeah, the All Glass thing doesn't work anymore. Here is the new one:

The download link is in there.

Did this just happen? I installed it a few hours ago with no problem.

It was doing that to me a few days ago. You have to go to the source page:

When I install all glass I get this:

Clearly not what it's meant to look like. I have Aero enabled.

It uses whatever color you've picked as your theme color in Windows. Try picking a color besides black and it should change to whatever color you pick.

Looks little like it and is pretty broken. If you choose to have your bookmarks there it takes up half the screen.

It's lacking the touch of style from the mockup but this did come out jolly fast. I hope it gets tweaked and improved over time.
I'll wait for now, haven't found anything that beats the google chrome (chromifox) theme.

I didn't try it because the screen shot above shows it without the menu bar... Which is something I use every day.
Consequently, I've set FF to *not* check for updates until I can find out whether 3.7 will allow me to re-add the menu...

You can leave the menu on. It's an option in Personal Menu's settings.

Wait, why does this theme remove the new tab button? The mockup had one.
