Mozilla offers first look at potential Firefox 3.7 theme, features
Firefox 3.5 is still warm, but those crazy kids at Mozilla are already working on future versions of the browser. This weekend the team posted an image on the Mozilla wiki showing a mockup of 3 new potential features for the Windows version Firefox 3.7:
[via Mashable]
- Toolbar and tabs using Windows Vista and Windows 7's Aero Glass effects, including glossy, translucent buttons
- Page button on the left side of the tab area with options connected to the page
- Tools and Bookmark bars on the right side of the window that you can use to toggle the bookmark menu or customize the user interface

IE's location bar please!! All I want is to see my recent history when I click the down arrow on the location bar. Why on earth is that so hard to achieve in FF?

I want Win 7 Aero transparency effects every where.
At I want to be able to see is the backdrop, with some light shading that looks vaguely like Firefox.
Oh, and the Blink tag should rapidly toggle the transparency on & off
That's the ticket

IMO the tag button should not be a dedicated one since it is related to the viewable page, but rather be the favicon on each tab. Click the favicon and you get the menu related to the page.
The navigation buttons, address bar, etc, should follow Chrome's example.
Bookmarks be completely accessible in a new tab.
This look is awesome but the functionality that I want will make it better, but that is IMO. Go Firefox!

How do they manage to make it uglier with every version?
(I like Firefox, but the default theme has steadily got worse)

Uglier by which standards? I personally think the picture above looks awesome.

Calm down Mozilla. Sort out 3.5's problems before thinking about 3.7.

The icons and style looks same as opera 10 and little of Apple safari and little of Chromes aero style. Copy cats . Crazy kids copying evrything from others and hiding it under name of open source. Sending(spying) all information to Google.
