Yahoo's Delicious proves Chrome extensions are....Boring.

I found that statement a little odd, because AdSweep has been around since early April. Didn't that pretty much prove the "reality" of Chrome extensions?
To make things even less exciting, the Delicious extension is about as un-noteworthy as they come. If you've got the 'Bookmark on Delicious' bookmarklet in Chrome already, guess what? The extension does the exact same thing. All it does is create a Delicious icon at the end of your address bar instead of on your bookmark toolbar.
I don't know about you, but that's nothing to get worked up about. Google's three example extensions? Equally yawn-worthy.
Heck, I'm still waiting for integration with Google services. Anyone else wondering where the support for things like Google Bookmarks is? It is their browser, after all.
Don't get me wrong - I love Chrome's speed and minimal UI, but after this long I thought we'd see some much more interesting extensions. If you know one, please share it in the comments. I'd love to see it!

I honestly feel that extensions are the only thing that keeps firefox users from switching. i know it is for me :/

That's already pretty much agreed upon (although I also like how custonmisable the toolbars are). Remember that extensions are a pretty major thing. Also, I like the default search (mix between I'm feeling lucky and normal search) and the way the awesome bar works.

The extension I'd like to see is a separate search box like Opera or Firefox. I tried, but never could get used to typing searches in the address bar. Sometimes I have to type the search engine and tab to search, but sometimes that doesn't work right? To me, it was more confusing. I tried Chrome (well actually, Chromium) for about a month and ended up going back to Firefox 3.5.

I guess you haven't heard about Cleeki yet then

What gave you that impression?

It's not compelling enough for me to keep it installed, though, and I haven't heard much buzz about it.

My expectation for a Delicious extension for Chrome would be to override the bookmark star to the left of the address bar. Starring a page would open the Delicious bookmark page and allow me to add it there instead of to Chrome's bookmarks.
