Thanks for the review and comments about Ubuntu One! I definitely understand your perspective, cross platform is important in many situations. With Ubuntu One we've made several design decisions that will greatly simplify the work needed to create clients for other platforms, and while it's true that we are putting all our effort into Linux clients, the majority of our client code will run unchanged on OS X and Windows, and I hope we find some interested developers who want to try a port.
